Criminal Law
(Summary Offences and Hybrid Offences Proceeding by Summary Conviction)
A summary conviction offence is the least serious kind of criminal offence under Canada's Criminal Code. They have a maximum penalty of 6 months or less of imprisonment and a fine of up to $5000.

The Ontario Court of Justice hears provincial offences cases.

Human Rights Tribunal
Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario hears and resolves claims of discrimination and harassment brought under the Human Rights Code
